Through a generous legacy gift from Albert and Rhoda Yvette Weissman, the Jewish Community Foundation established the Albert Weissman & Rhoda Yvette Weissman Endowment Fund. As part of this fund and in honoring their wishes, the WEISSMAN ARTS program was formed. Click here to read more about Albert Weissman and Rhoda Yvette Weissman.
Coming this May, Jewish Community Foundation Orange County (JCFOC) is bringing – all the way from Israel – our first 2023 Weissman Artist-in-Residence under our the newly reimagined program. Shirel Horovitz will join us here in the OC for a month-long residency. During her time with JCFOC, Shirel will explore finding beauty in the seemingly mundane through her Choreography of Gratitude project. Shirel will have two joint gallery exhibitions in Santa Ana’s Artist Village and at the Merage JCC. JCFOC is also planning a series of public programs for community members. Included below is information on our three main community wide workshops. For more information about this exciting program, click here!
