ISRAEL NEEDS OUR HELP
We join those around the world in sharing profound sadness and deep concern over the ongoing assault on the State of Israel. The Jewish Community Foundation Orange County is here to help donors who wish to contribute to organizations offering critical emergency aid to the individuals, families, and communities in Israel grappling with devastating loss.
Below is a list of organizations offering emergency relief to Israel.
Use your JCFOC Donor Advised Fund to recommend a grant to one or more of these organizations. If you do not have a Fund at the Foundation, click here for more information on how to set one up – or you may click on the link to give directly to the organization’s donation site.

NA’AMAT Israel has opened up and extended their hotline hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for women, men, and families who need support and resources for counseling, childcare, and a safe harbor during this traumatic time. NA’AMAT USA has collaborated with Israel to set up an emergency fund to help NA’AMAT families and caregivers, over half of whom (close to 2,000) live in the southern part of Israel. Sadly, their daycare center in Ness-Ziona (25 km south of Tel Aviv) was severely damaged by a direct hit on Tuesday morning. https://naamat.org/blog/2023-naamat-israel-fund/

ISRAEL EMERGENCY RAPID RESPONSE GRASSROOTS INITIATIVE
As they have done in prior crises where they have strong networks and connections to effective Israeli changemakers in the field, Leichtag Foundation and Impact Cubed have established the Israel Emergency Rapid Response Grassroots Initiative. The magnitude and rippling effects of the emergency necessitate multiple drivers of impact. Trusted grassroots partners assuming major responsive roles must pivot to address emerging needs. The Israel Emergency Grassroots Response Initiative connects resources with these first responders.
They regularly share priority needs informed by leaders on the ground so you can learn and pivot your response through the Initiative. The weekly 30 to 45-minute conversations are chances to hear directly about the evolving situation on the ground, from the ground. Contact Leichtag Foundation or Impact Cubed for more information on how to connect to those regular updates. https://impactcubed.org/give/
