“My father and his family escaped from Nazi Germany in 1938 and found new lives in America with the help of Jewish communal organizations. He and his brothers taught me the importance of ensuring the continuity of Jewish life and institutions. I hope to carry on their legacy and impart to my own children a sense of respect for what they stood for, and an understanding of how their ideals can translate through tzedakah to positively impact the Jewish community.”
– Howard Mirowitz
LIFE & LEGACY is a proven program that trains local Jewish agencies and synagogues to work together to build endowment funding for future generations. Through the Create a Jewish Legacy and LIFE & LEGACY initiative, partner organizations in Orange County are working together with the Foundation to assist those who want to leave a legacy, but have not yet made plans to do so. With our guidance, people of all ages and means are making individual legacy plans that support the causes and organizations that fuel their passion and shape their lives.
More than 970 people in Orange County have signed a Letter of Intent sharing their promise to make a gift to one or more of the Foundation’s LIFE & LEGACY Partners.
