In 2025 we are offering a new and exciting benefit for YOU – our Fund Holders! Throughout the year, we’ll offer Behind-the-Scenes Exclusive Access and Experiences to nonprofit venues, collections, and resources typically unavailable to the public to enhance the joy and impact of giving through your fund at JCFOC.
These special site visits and activities are designed to provide you with deeper education on local nonprofits, their work, and the impact they have on the community while connecting each of these activities to a Jewish value that underscores the importance of tikkun olam (repairing the world).
For 2025, we’ve curated four exclusive opportunities for you:

Thursday, 1/30/25 at 5:00 PM: OC Hillel (UCI Campus)/UCI Chabad:
Join us for a site visit to OC Hillel’s new Hillel House at UCI. After meeting with students and learning how OC Hillel supports local students, we will take a quick 5-minute drive to UCI Chabad, where we will learn about their important work over a delicious home-cooked dinner.

Tuesday, 4/8/25 at 4:00 PM: City of Hope, new Cancer Treatment and Research Center in Irvine:
Enjoy learning about City of Hope’s vision for Orange County with Annette M. Walker, President of City of Hope Orange County, and get an exclusive preview of the region’s only Specialty Cancer Hospital, opening in late 2025. Founded in 1913 by the Jewish Consumptive Relief Association, City of Hope has a rich legacy of care and has now expanded with a second campus in Irvine, offering convenient access to world-class cancer treatment, ranked in the Top 5 nationally in 2025.
In addition to a tour you will hear from Dr. Stephen Gruber whose research includes the increased incidence of cancer among Ashkenazi Jews in partnership with Technion Israel Institute of Technology. Learn more about Dr. Gruber and his work here.
Thursday, 8/21/25 at 4 PM: Arts & Creativity for Healing Inc.
Fund Holders will learn about the Arts & Creativity for Healing Inc. by participating in an interactive art therapy workshop led by their Executive Director, Laurie Zagon, and staff. You will also hear from members who have participated in the program.
Arts & Creativity for Healing supports emotional healing through art and creative expression for those living in pain, grief, fear, or stress. They currently host programs for six audiences:
- EXCEPTIONAL FAMILY MEMBERS – Children/Adults with disabilities and their families
- FAMILIES IN CRISIS – Children and teens from economically challenged families struggling with anger and dysfunction
- VINTAGE COLORS – Senior citizens struggling with grief
- RAGING COLORS – Troubled youth and teens struggling with anger and dysfunction
- OUT OF DARKNESS – Women survivors of domestic violence
- HEALING FOR HEROES – Wounded Warriors and their families at Camp Pendleton Marine Base
Wednesday, 11/19/25 at 12:00 PM, SEI Zoom Presentation about our Investment Strategy
If you have ever had questions about how your philanthropic funds are invested and why, this session is for you. Hear from SEI, our co-fiduciary, about our investment strategies options, historic performance and returns, and connect directly with the SEI professional staff over Zoom.
